The  Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) is a global community of Internet technologists dedicated to developing and publishing standards for the Internet. The IETF is responsible for the technical standards that make up the Internet Protocol, such as TCP/IP. The IETF has no formal membership list or requirements, and all participants are volunteers. The IETF works to develop new technologies and protocols to improve and secure the internet. The IETF regularly organizes meetings and events to discuss the advancement of technology and develop new ideas.
