An automated system that allows digital files to be managed, converted, shared, and distributed online.
By assigning so-called meta data, characteristics about the file in question, and offering selection functionality, it is easy to find the right one from a large number of available digital files.
By converting online files, files can be automatically adjusted to the specifications of different media. For example, a saved source file in the largest color space (Adobe RGB) can be converted on demand and optimized for online display (sRGB) or for print media (CMYK).
In order to optimally display the source file in printed media, a conversion must take place using a so-called color profile. Separate profiles are available for different printing processes as well as material types. The most common colour profile in Europe is that for sheets of offset on coated paper is ISOCoated V2, almost identical to Fogra39.
